How to Become a Member of this Gum Branch Baptist Church
We encourage all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to attach themselves to a community of believers by joining a faithful, Bible-believing church. For those who wish to join Gum Branch Baptist Church, we have a process in place by which people can become a part of what we call our ‘Membership.’ For those who wish to become members, we require that they, in good conscience, embrace our Church Constitution and communicate agreement with our Confessional Statement.
We are a fellowship of Christian believers who have committed ourselves to walking together in worship and service in Jesus’ name. If you are of a like mind and heart, we will gladly welcome you into our church family. We receive new members in three ways:
- By profession of faith and baptism. If you have confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you may follow His command and example by being baptized in water as a public testimony of your faith.
- By promise of letter from another Baptist church of like faith and order.
- By your statement of a previous conversion experience and scriptural believer’s baptism.
